BahnCheck is a Deutsche Bahn connection reliability tool that helps you assess the likelihood of your train connections succeeding based on historical delay data. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

BahnCheck does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• ·We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information
• ·We do not collect your location
• ·We do not track your trips or journey history
• ·We do not use analytics or crash reporting services
• ·We do not use advertising networks
• ·We do not transmit any data to external servers

How the App Works

All processing happens entirely on your device. When you paste or share a DB Navigator trip, it is parsed and scored locally using a database bundled within the app. Nothing leaves your device.

Third Party Data

The reliability scores shown in BahnCheck are derived from historical Deutsche Bahn timetable and delay data, sourced from the piebro/deutsche-bahn-data dataset (CC BY 4.0, Deutsche Bahn AG). This data is included in the app bundle and is not fetched at runtime.

Language Preference

Your language preference (German or English) is stored locally on your device using standard device storage. It is never transmitted anywhere.

Children's Privacy

BahnCheck does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
